Quad Bike Sharm El Sheikh: Expert FAQs
Do I need a driving license for the Quad Bike Safari?
No, a driving license is not required to ride an ATV in the Sharm desert. Because the safari takes place on off-road desert trails, standard road laws do not apply. Our automatic quad bikes are easy to handle, and we provide a full safety briefing before you start.
What is the minimum age to drive a Quad Bike?
The minimum age to drive a solo Quad is 12 years old. However, this is a very family-friendly tour; children under 12 can safely ride as passengers on a Double Quad with an adult. It's a great way for kids to experience the Echo Mountains and desert dunes safely.
What should I wear and bring for a desert safari?
To protect against the sun and sand, we recommend:
• Sunglasses (essential for eye protection).
• Scarf (Arafat) – we can help you tie this Bedouin-style!
• Comfortable, closed shoes (no flip-flops).
• Sunscreen and a camera for the Echo Mountains photo stop.
Is the Bedouin Tea experience really included?
Yes! A highlight of the Fares Tours experience is stopping at an authentic Bedouin tent. You will be served traditional "Habak" herbal tea, which is included in your tour price. It’s the perfect moment to experience Sinai hospitality.
How much actual driving time is in the tour?
Unlike shorter tours, we provide a full 90 to 120 minutes of total desert time. This includes driving across the dunes, the Echo Mountains stop, and the Bedouin tent break. The entire trip from hotel-to-hotel takes roughly 3 hours.
