Ras Mohammed & White Island: Essential FAQs
Is snorkeling equipment included in the tour price?
Base boat trip prices typically exclude snorkeling gear (mask, fins, and life jackets). You are welcome to bring your own personal gear, or you can rent professional equipment at the marina before departure for a small daily fee.
Will we definitely visit the White Island sandbar?
Yes, visiting White Island (The Egyptian Maldives) is a core part of our itinerary. As it is a natural sandbar, our captains monitor tide levels and wind speeds to ensure you visit at the safest and most beautiful time of the day.
Are passports mandatory for the Ras Mohammed boat trip?
Yes. According to Egyptian Coast Guard regulations, all passengers must provide a original passport or a clear photo/copy. This is required for clearance at the marine police checkpoint before the boat can depart from the Sharm El Sheikh port.
What is the National Park Entrance Fee?
As Ras Mohammed is a protected National Park, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment charges a mandatory entry fee (currently $5 USD or equivalent). This fee supports the preservation of the Red Sea coral reefs and is usually collected by your guide on the morning of the trip.
Are there vegetarian or vegan options for lunch?
Absolutely. Our onboard BBQ buffet is designed to cater to all dietary needs. We always serve fresh salads, Egyptian rice, pasta with tomato sauce, and grilled vegetables, making it easy for vegetarians and vegans to enjoy a full meal alongside the seafood and meat options.
